“He’s been a little beauty. It was almost 12 months ago that he won here, so to come back and win again is exciting.

“I’m not sure what we’ll do. I was going to run him in the Mildura Cup next week. I’m have to see if there’s another meeting at Flemington and come back.

“If there’s a race there, we’ll probably come back then.”

Cost: “We paid $9500 for him. He was a cheapie. Last prep he went through his grades pretty quick, starting with a Benchmark 58 and won three in a row and then at the end of the prep here at Flemington.

“He’s been a good horse for us.”

Winning partnership with the horse : “Yeah he’s been a pretty good horse to me, it just goes to show how good of a trainer Nath (Hobson) is, he places his horses very well and that’s his second win down the straight now that horse. He was going to win that race a long way out, he just kept coming up underneath me, travelled really good and was just relying on a little bit of luck to get out and when he got out he accelerated nice.

Surface conditions : “It’s actually racing pretty good, it’s obviously a genuine winter track but it’s nowhere near heavy. Just getting their toe into it nicely is cutting out a little bit now but is racing overall really well.
