Plans for the summer: “We’ll see how he comes through today but we’ll keep him fresh and back between 1000 and 1200 metres.

The future: “We’d like to get him through his grades and back to stakes level. He’s just been very immature and taken time to learn his craft.”

How was the race: “He enjoyed a beautiful trail and I was as patient as I could and sat on him as long as I could and I think that gave him great confidence. The last little bit he was out of oxygen a bit but he’ll come on a lot for today’s run. It was a comfortable enough win at the end.

The key for the horse: “Genuinely run races are the key where he can just flow and be comfortable. The team have done a good job placing him.
