“I thought it was quite tough. She did a little bit of work to get there outside the leader which was plan A. Matty Cartwright has been doing a bit of work for us down the farm, gave her a good ride and rode her to instructions.

“Going forward and using every bit of the claim (was effective).

“We had a good rap on her as a two-year-old and she won her maiden and didn’t quite put it together after that. She’s obviously come back better this prep. She’s had three runs, only a light filly, so she may even get a break now.

“Jonathan Munz likes a bit of black type with his fillies and there might be something in the spring for her.”

“I thought it was a great performance. She jumped out of the gates well and we got to the spot we wanted.

“She travelled nicely. She did drop the bit early but she toughed it out and it was a great win.

“She had 51 (kilos) on her back so why not go forward and make her something to catch. She was getting tired late but it was still a great win and she took good upside and confidence from her win at Pakenham.”
