“She’s a pretty good galloper (but) she’s had a few little hiccups that we’ve been dealing with. First-up was very disappointing so we changed her work considerably (and) taken a bit of pressure off her.
“We were hoping for a form reversal today but we got the real bonus.
“I mentioned to some of the owners that she can handle these conditions and her form suggested that she’d be right in it as long as she was correct in herself. It’s good to have her back in form.”
Flemington Finals Day: “Absolutely. I think she’s more of a 1200 or 1300 metre horse than wanting further so we’ll just stay around this distance and spread her runs lightly, keep them spaced and keep the pressure off her. Hopefully we can enjoy more form like this.”
Winning Jockey: Damien Thornton
“We all knew on her best form she was good enough but she hasn’t been able to find it for some time. John has done a terrific job to turn her form around and it was a very plain run first-up. He’s obviously figured it out and got her back into perfect form today.
“I was happy to ride her where she’s comfortable. She hadn’t been going very well so I didn’t want to overcomplicate it and let her be where she wanted and help her travel. She felt (like) the winner coming down the hill but she took a while to get there. It was a nice win in the end.”
