“She’s always raced at a high level. In the spring she was racing down the straight and we were always keen to get her around a bend. First-up today I think she presented physically stronger and she settled off the pace and gave a good strong kick late.

“It is the first runner we have had for His Royal Highness Sheikh Hamdam since his passing. He had been such a wonderful contributor to Australian racing and racing around the world. It was a special victory.”

Continue on: “We might look to go to Adelaide. There’s a three-year-old fillies Listed race over 1100 (metres) which is a nice option, but we’ll just take it one run at a time. There’s a race like the Robert Sangster over there at the Adelaide Carnival that is a Group 1 for fillies and mares.

“It was a good win today and Daniel Stackhouse rode her brilliantly.”
