On if the UK ownership of Gonnadancealot were watching the race: “I’m sure they are, but if they aren’t, they are going to wake up to some beautiful news.”

On the rise to 1800m today: “Myself and Robbie have had this race mapped out from a couple of months ago and programmed her towards it. Each and every run she’s taken, she’s just improved. Each and every week the rider just keeps coming back and saying she’s never felt any better. We were definitely comfortable she would enjoy it (1800m).”

The prospects of being an Oaks filly: “We had that in the back of our mind leading into today but we wanted to see a good performance from her today. I think we’ve seen a performance that’s worthy of making those sorts of considerations.

“She’s a smart filly that will keep on improving.

“I thought she got over beautifully from the draw and the race panned out perfectly. There were no pre-race instructions, just to be positive. She’s a genuine galloper. We didn’t want her out the back if they were going slow. We wanted to be positive and Jamie just had to rate her after that.

“She dedicated the race after that and that’s why you have her on.”

Insight into dual-hemisphere partnership: “We’ve been fortunate enough to spend some time with Jane (Chapple-Hyam) in Newmarket.  She runs out of the stable owned by South African clients of ours and all of our passing with quarantine horses through the stables, she looks after them. Horses that hopefully have some group one international potential will definitely be utilising her skills and that facility.”

“I’m not sure if Jane came out here to inspect, but she bought her with her partner Eimear Donnelly.”

Winning Jockey: Jamie Kah

First time aboard: “It was good. It was my first time aboard her and she settled beautifully. Its exciting to get her over a bit of a trip and I think she’ll just keep getting better.”

The manager picked this ride: “Lachie (Weekly) picked this ride out for me. She was a filly that hadn’t done anything too impressive as yet, but she was just hanging out for a trip. She’s got all the right attributes to be a stayer. She settles, she relaxes and I’m sure she’ll pop up in the spring and make a nice filly.”

Quieter week: “It’s been much quieter. We ducked out to the snow for a few days and had a few quiet days. It’s been a nice week, but it’s good to be back.”
