“Great achievement for Danny O’Brien Racing. Mr and Mrs Teo came to visit a couple of weeks ago and it is great that he can get a win on the board and being so well bred hopefully he can have a good prep.”

“I was just trying to find somewhere with a bit of room. Danny gave me no plan and to be honest I still didn’t have a plan when we jumped and when we got tightened for room out the gates, shuffled back to last, it was looking like a disaster for a while. But things worked out.”

Crowd reaction: “It was a pretty cool feeling. I could hear it and I think he heard them lifting him to the line.

“He’s such a well behaved horse. He’s a beautiful animal but he’s just been quite unlucky in some of his races. He was almost going to be unlucky there but, thank God, the gaps opened.

“Fantastic carnival and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
