During the run: “He trucked up nicely, on the point of the turn it was pretty painless. He was getting a bit tired the last bit, putting in a few short ones, but got the job done.”

Coming into the stable: “He’s just been a straightforward horse… he had one prep to acclimatise, we had a trial, tipped him out, brought him back and he's had two nice trials. We thought he’d sort of come here and do that today but you always have to do it.”

Step up in trip: “I’d suggest so. I’ll see what Froggy says but he was keen enough in the run, fresh but he was on the bridle strong so I’d suggest a mile would be his go. We’ll see how he pulls up, he’s still low in the ratings, we’re a long way from the Spring but we’ll get another run into him for sure.”

On the horse: “He’s a really nice horse this bloke, I think you’ll see a lot of him during Spring time so (it was) nice to find another nice horse and I've just got to stay on him now.”

During the run: “Everything you ask him to do he does, he found a nice spot and travelled really good, he’s a little bit unlike those European horses, he’s actually got a really good change up gear so he sort of got on top of them really quick straightening and probably felt the pinch the last 50m so that probably suggests he’s going to take improvement from the run.”
