Second start: “What can I say, Tarzino, flavour of the month especially for us. It’s a big effort, we knew it was a big task, second start, Flemington but he’s a three year old, he’s tough, he’s sound and he got a lovely ride by Craig Newitt there.”
Future plans: “We looked after him, just given him time. I think you’re right, back in two weeks for another race for three year olds, the final is worth $200k so it’s a lovely opportunity for these sort of horses. He’s very untapped, he’s an out and out stayer.”
Winning Jockey: Craig Newitt
Staying capacity: “He’s a horse from the first time I rode him that’s got a mile-and-a-half written all over him. His first start he sat outside a fast speed over a mile and was strong. Today in a genuinely run race he got into a nice spot, travelled really well and put them to the sword a fair way out and was really strong through the line.”
During the run: “I was surprised I got to it (Secret Glamour) as quickly as I did, Jye came from the box seat and we sort of matched motors from about the 450m but if anything I just had to hold my bloke back a little bit, he travelled up that well. He’s very lightly raced, he’s got scope and he’s going to go places.”
