Winning Trainer: John Moloney
On the horse: “He’s just matured a bit, he’s enjoying his training, enjoying his work, he’s just developed with that. That’s been part of it, that he’s been able to mature even in his training and understand that galloping is OK and racing’s OK and he’s coped with it.”
On the future: “He’s only going to get better, he’s a So You Think and a nice animal. We’re going to have a lot of fun with him, if he’s been able to do this today, he’s really giving us a good feel that he can be a nice horse for us.”
“You might see him again (this preparation) and then we might give him a rest. I just think whatever he gets a chance to do he’ll get better with it.”
Winning Jockey: Blaike McDougall
On today’s win: “She was brilliant display. Credit to my horse, he ‘s got a lovely racing pattern, he races on speed and he just got through the ground. He got into a lovely rhythm throughout, got left alone, had a breather and quickened up really nicely.”
On the horse: “He’s a progressive horse, I rode him at his first start probably two preps ago and I didn’t have much to say to John but he took a lot of positives out of it and to his credit he said he’d win over a mile with it. That’s why he’s a wonderful trainer.”
On the future: “He’s in really good order this horse, he’s a big tick on the heavy track so he’s going to have a nice winter in front of him.”
