On the horse: “He’s had an excellent prep (aration) apart from a wet track run at Cranbourne he’s had a faultless prep. In a previous life he might have had good stakes ability as a three-year-old and he’s back to something near that but he’s deep into a prep now.

The horse: “He’s been going good this prep, his win two back was really soft and he was pretty genuine last start off a slow tempo. The key to this horse is fast tempos and we got that today, he travelled right into it.

On the run: “I was more looking for a pathway through than pressing the button - I knew I had the horse underneath me, I just had to pick my way through and I got onto the back of Jamie (Kah, Unanimous) at the right time and then he sprinted over the top of her.
