100th metropolitan win for the season: “Thank god for that, we needed it after the day we’ve had, a lot of bad luck. A hundred winners in town just full credit to the whole team across the whole state ao that’s for them. We couldn’t do it without tham, to get the horses running so well in town with the strike rate across a long period is all credit to them.

On this win: “Like a lot of these imports they take a bit of working out and so did he but he’s good fresh and he doesn’t need to stretch out much further than that (today) just yet, maybe 2000 (metres) and credit to Matty Cartwright as well it was a beautiful ride, it wasn’t going to be easy, there wasn’t a lot of speed on paper. He’s riding really well and it’s great to get another winner in these colours, Jamie and Luke have a lot of faith in the stable and we’ve got a lot of horses for them, it’s a good result, a lot of people have turned up today to watch him.

Future plans: “I think he’s got room in the handicap to get to open class, we don’t need to get too carried away. Hopefully he’s got another win in him , there’s obviously a lot of options in the spring and he’s a very versatile horse.

Winning Jockey: Matt Cartwright

On the win: “He gives me the feel he’ll get out in distance and 2400 metres is his go. It was a really good win today , he just travelled through them , we were lucky and got a good run from the gate , he travelled right into it and then found good.

On the horse: “ He’s a real good horse, he’s keeps going through his grades and he’ll make it. I rode him in his first start here and he gave me a real good feel then and he’s come back and can keep going on with it.
