“It was a different dynamic at Bendigo. They put it to him early, cross him and put him in an awkward spot.

“But she (Kelly) showed a bit of headiness there staying on the fence and that probably won her the race. He wanted to roll in a bit but there was plenty of credence in the win and he’s a nice progressive horse.

“He’s a lovely, relaxed stallion. You wouldn’t know he’s a stallion to look at. He’s got that temperament apart from getting a bit hot in the skin which Camelot’s can do.

“Plenty of upside with him going forward.”

“We were inclined to ride him the way we have been riding him and let him roll and use that quick tempo that he can maintain.

“He just jumped a bit slow away and I didn’t want to give him a rub up and get him agitated. I was happy to see him settle today and put that feather in his cap that he can settle.”
