“Jumped well, there was a bit of pace early and sat outside the leader but I don’t want that last 200 (metres) again. It was tough.

“She got her head down on the line, that’s what counts.

“Jordan rode her last start and we got stuck in behind traffic. We were a bit unlucky late. But this was good. Took luck in running out of the equation.

“She’s a mare in form and when they find form they tend to keep it.”

“She was traveling really sweetly the whole way and coming to the corner at the 400 (metre mark) I thought I’d let her stride into it and once she hit the front on her own she had a bit of a look around and wanted to wait for them a bit.

“Once she saw that (looming) horse again, she started to try. Just shows that there’s good improvement in her and she can win more races.

“I knew they were coming. I didn’t feel like I was going. I felt like I was stopping a bit. I think as soon as she started to sense it she picked up.

“She’s just a sweetheart to ride. She does everything to want to please you and if she can keep stepping up to the mark like she has been I can’t see why she couldn’t be competitive in better races.”
