Winning Time: 1:24.84 Last 600m: N/A
Margins: Long Neck x 1 ¼ lengths
Winning Trainer: Gavin Bedggood
Horse in form: “We haven’t really changed much with him, in between runs he always goes and spends a week or ten days down at Monomeith on the water walker and that seems to set him up nicely into his next run.”
Where to from here: “His rating will go up a bit today, he can probably get away with another Bm78 with a claim but I’m mindful of putting a kid on him because he can have a think about it, we’ll just keep running through his grades and pick up as much prize money as we can.”
Winning Jockey: Jye McNeil
How the race unfolded: “Getting around the first turn the speed came out of the race and he got his head in the air a little bit so I decided to get into the three wide line on Show Some Decorum’s back and flow into the race a little bit better. When Froggy was leading and putting a margin on us I was worried we weren’t going to be able to catch him, but we got left in front after getting to him quickly, I was able to switch the whip into the left hand and get him home.”
Staying in Melbourne: “I’m in a good position to add to that (premiership) tally, I’m getting great support and rides at home and really enjoying it here, so I’ll keep putting the hard work into the premiership down here and see where we end up.”
