Onwards to Caulfield Guineas: “I think so. He put his hand up today. Nice impressive ride by Mark.

“He was able to travel much better with the winkers and I really thought he ran out the mile nicely.

“Watching him through the line he kept going so that’s a good sign. He’s had a good run at a mile and hopefully we’ve got a nice chance in the Caulfield Guineas.”

Guineas confidence: “We’ll just see how he comes out of it. He’s definitely a horse on the up. He’s so exciting and a bit congratulations to the Jarrod (Best Bloodstock).

“This is the first horse we purchased together at the Magic Millions and we’re hacing a bit of fun with him and we’re really going to enjoy it over the next couple of weeks leading into the race.

“It is such a big result for everyone. Jarrod is a young syndicator - Best Bloodstock and he’s had a lot of success. To have a horse in his first year of purchasing towards a Caulfield Guineas is a huge result and I’m thrilled for them.”

Holds a Cox Plate nomination: “We’re keeping the dream alive. He’ll have to win the Caulfield Guineas to contemplate a Cox Plate, but on his win tonight he has put his hand up”

“He’s a very good horse. Only jumped fair and it was a bit busy early. Obviously the way the track is playing, everyone wanted to have a piece of it.

“I had to hold him a bit above his average there, a bit above his comfort speed just to hold them out and then he relaxed really good off He’s Heaven two lengths pretty much off the bridle.

“I thought I’d hit the front at some stage but I was just trying to guide him as a bunny and he actually had a bit of a look around when he hit the front. He pricked his ears and when they came to home he found again.

“There is a bit to look at here and he’s a colt so he had a bit of a look around. They had the winkers on today which helped a bit but he couldn’t see what was coming. When he got a peep at them about the 100 or the 50 (metre mark) he found again.”
