Winning Trainer: James Cummings (Sean Keogh speaking)

On great day: “An extraordinary day. We do mention team, and that includes the jockeys. They’re all well-schooled on the tactics as well. James is the trainer at the end of the day, but the team is there. Jason Walsh programmes the races for the horses and we’ve had a four-timer here today and then in Sydney with the Group 1 and races at the provincials as well. It’s an outstanding effort from a huge team we have across two states.”

Ingratiating putting Frosted back on the map: “Let’s not forget Brigantine in Sydney either. It’s a real credit to Ingratiating today getting back on winning terms. The last time we saw him get past the post first was down here, so that’s great for the Darley team as well.”

Plans ahead: “He only had the one trial in Sydney so the horse was fresh today so there is plenty more for him.”

Winning Jockey: Mark Zahra

What happened late: “He got lost out there. The sun was really bad in his eyes. He wanted to duck in late. We travelled into it good and I didn’t want to stop his momentum on a wet track. We might have got there a bit early and got a bit tired and wayward late, but he got the job done.”

How he look pre-race: “He’s a beautiful looking horse. They always do a good job with their horses. Probably the barrier was a blessing in disguise the way the weather and the track played. We rolled into it in a nice lane and it worked well.”

Hard to recover from these days?: “It’s hard enough recovering from riding light on a Saturday and then we have the races tomorrow after a wet track today, but we’ll soldier on.”

Almost another Group 1 with I Am Superman: “Close but no cigar. It was good for Jamie (Mott) to get his first one up.”
