On racing at Pakenham: “When I looked at her profile before she came to Melbourne , her three runs this preparation have all been on big 400-metre plus straights so not dissimilar to today , only Moonee Valley the start before on a tight turning track, you can see how quick and tenacious and tough she is. When the chips were down, she was the one I was happy I was on.

Xon the filly: “I still think she’s got more to come, she showed that tenacity on the way to the start and still burnt a bit of energy on the way to the start. She’s a really quick horse and she can do it at both ends . It’s a really hard competitive track here with a bit of a rise and I had the favourite on to her early , but she’s a really exciting horse, James and his team have managed her really well.
