“After running second in races one and two, it’s good to get a winner. He’s a talented enough horse and Ben showed some intent on him today.

“He was up and out of the gate, on the bridle and traveled like the winner the whole race.

“He showed what his talent can get him.

“He won his maiden by about six or seven lengths and competed in a couple of decent three-year-old races. The talent has been there (but) he’s had to put it all together and t’s good to see him do it today.

“We drew awkwardly but he began well and we were able to get a good spot pretty quickly. He traveled well and relaxed well and he had a good trip.

“He won well in the end and showed a good turn-of-foot.

“He had every chance last start in Adelaide but got a but cluttered up on the corner and I don’t think he takes too many excuses to turn it up but when things go his way he can be impressive like he was today.”
