Several very promising three-year-olds came to the fore at Singapore over the weekend, headed by the Mark Walker trained Chase.

A narrow victor at big odds when resuming, the son of Nicconi proceeded to live up to the hype, when a very impressive winner on Sunday.

Lining up in the sixth event, Chase was sent out the equal favourite with the Stephen Gray trained Bhaskara.

Earmarked as a possible Singapore Guineas contender in the lead up, Chase quickly cemented those claims, when dominating his rivals from near the rear of the field.

Chase

Ridden by Rizuan Shafiq, Chase was allowed to find his feet from the wide draw, settled two wide in eleventh.

Travelling well entering the home straight, Chase was pulled to the extreme outside, before letting down powerfully.

Appearing to do it with ease, Chase hit the front inside the 100m, before drawing away to score by a length-and-a-half.

Improving eight pounds on his previous best, Chase is clearly heading in the right direction and continues to make impressive ratings spikes.

The clock also backed up the strength of his performance, with the three-year-old comparatively recording the quickest time.

On average he has improved eight pounds at each of his last three starts and creates plenty of interest moving forward.

The Group 1 Singapore Guineas appears his main focus moving forward and while he still has a bit to find on star galloper Affleck, he shapes as one of the main dangers.

Poseidon

The Cliff Brown trained Poseidon has been quite frustrating for punters, however the penny may have finally dropped, following his strong win in the third event.

In six starts the son of Gold Centre has finished second on three occasions and has often been his own worst enemy.

Although unable to break through, he continued to line up in strong form races and again recorded time ahead of the bare form.

Using predictive ratings, he is expected to improved between five and nine pounds at his next outing and should be followed closely.

Super One

The Michael Freedman trained Super One more than lived up to the hype, when dominating his rivals on debut in the fifth event.

Having turned heads in his sole trial in the lead up (won by 9.5L), the son of I Am Invincible easily justified his short quote, when saluting by close to four lengths.

Ridden by Craig Newitt, Super One led throughout recording quick time in the process.

In the four races held on the polytrack, Super One was comparatively the fastest, marked half a length superior.

Debuting just a week earlier than Affleck did last year, Super One returned a similar Timeform rating and currently sits atop the 2YO tree.

The next coming weeks creates plenty of interest leading up to the Group 2 Golden Horseshoe, with Super One the current horse to beat.

Super Winner

On Friday night the Theo Kieser trained Super Winner was one of the stand-out performances, with the three-year-old easily winning the eighth event.

Dropping back to 1000m, following a narrow defeat over 1200m two back, the son of Kaphero overcame the wide draw, proving far too good on-speed.

A winner of four of his seven career starts, Super Winner has always displayed above average ability and recorded a new peak on Friday night.

Improving four pounds on his previous best, the gelding still appears open to further improvement, with room to move on his latest win.

Comparatively he recorded the quickest time of the night and the form through Mac Volks, Black Fiery and Scrat appears strong moving forward.

Super Winner's best form has been achieved on the polytrack and if placed in similar company at his next start, he should prove hard to beat again.
